A 25-year-old motorbike influencer has died in a road collision in Brazil, and her father, a police officer who attended the scene, is reported to have taken his own life. Karla Thaynnara lost control of her motorcycle on Tuesday morning, striking a car and then being hit by a lorry, according to local reports.
Among the officers dispatched to the incident was her father, José Carlos Andrade Nogueira. Upon finding his daughter on the road, he is said to have taken his own life before colleagues could intervene. The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
Karla, a nurse and consignment dealer at a motorcycle dealership, had over 56,000 followers on Instagram. She frequently posted about her life, including her seven-year-old daughter and her father. In August last year, she celebrated buying a flat, describing it as proof that dreams come true with determination and family support.
Karla and her father are due to be laid to rest in Brasília today, 4 March.
