Tom Read Wilson, known for his role on Celebs Go Dating and as runner-up in last year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, visited Cockfields Farm in Oldham for its Halloween pumpkin patch celebrations. Staff at the farm described the TV personality as an 'absolute pleasure' to welcome.
Star's visit to the farm
The 39-year-old, from Berkshire, was spotted at the farm on Lees New Road earlier this week. Cockfields Farm claims to host 'Greater Manchester's best pumpkin patch' as part of its popular Halloween events.
Sharing a photo on social media, farm staff wrote: "Look who popped by Cockfields! We had the lovely Tom Read Wilson visit us during our Pumpkin Patch celebrations! It was an absolute pleasure welcoming him to the farm, and of course, we couldn't resist getting a photo with the team! Thank you for stopping by, Tom! We hope you enjoyed your visit!"
Followers of the farm responded warmly to the post. One commented: "how was he this close to us and we didn't know." Another wrote: "Oh he's a fabulous human being." A third added: "Love Tom, he's brilliant."
Award-winning pumpkin patch
The pumpkin patch features over 1,000 pumpkins for visitors to pick, along with a spooky walk-through and a special Halloween show. It was voted the Best Pumpkin Patch in Greater Manchester last year by Trick or Treat.
The farm also offers after-dark pumpkin picking, with opportunities to meet characters such as Jack and Sally Skellington and the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. A spooky disco show, fairground rides, and the chance to meet and feed farm animals are also part of the festivities.
History and attractions at Cockfields Farm
The family-run farm has a history spanning more than 75 years and has regularly won awards for its events and attractions. Earlier this year, it was recognised by the National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) and was named runner-up in their Best Event category for its seasonal programming.
The farm is home to Highland cows, alpacas, llamas, goats, donkeys and pigs. It also has an extensive play area with swings, slides, spinners and climbing frames, as well as indoor go-karts and sandpits. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy tractor and trailer rides, a carousel and a bouncy pillow.
