Alex Scott Cuts Jungle Stay Short to Support Partner Jess Glynne After Mother's Brain Surgery

Alex Scott has decided to leave the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here jungle early to return to the UK and support her partner, singer Jess Glynne, whose mother is recovering from brain surgery.

The 41-year-old broadcaster was the first contestant voted off on Friday night (November 28). However, she chose to skip the traditional wrap party, flying home immediately after noticing Jess was not waiting for her at the jungle bridge, which signalled that her mother's condition had worsened.

Scott revealed that Jess had urged her to take part in the show despite the family's difficult circumstances. “It's been a tough time for us. The decision to enter the jungle was a difficult one... But Jess was like I want you to go on the show and do it for my mum,” she said. “She's my Jessica, and I'm going home to be her rock.”

Jess Glynne later broke her silence on Instagram, explaining that her mother had suffered a major stroke requiring urgent surgery. “It's been a really serious, life-altering time for my family, and I've had to stay close to home. Alex would always want me to be where I'm needed most. I can't wait to have her back by my side,” she wrote.
