An I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant has been forced to quit the show on medical grounds, just days before the live final. The departure, which will be shown on tonight's episode, left the remaining campmates in tears.
The emotional moment occurred when the star gathered the group and announced, "I didn't feel very well this morning… and the medics have advised I can't return to camp. I've got to go home." They added, "I don't want to go. I'm absolutely gutted. I wanted to finish." The Mirror has chosen not to reveal the identity of the celebrity to allow viewers to see the drama unfold on ITV.
The unplanned exit leaves eight contestants competing to be crowned a 'legend' in Friday's live final. They will take part in a trial called Rancid Run, which was previewed on Monday night. Further evictions are expected throughout the week, leaving four celebrities to battle it out for the win.
This year's All Stars series has already seen several departures. On Monday night, David Haye and Gemma Collins were evicted, following comedian Seann Walsh, who was the first to leave. David Haye faced criticism for his language in camp, including comments about his girlfriend and fellow contestant Adam Thomas. After his exit, Haye said there was "no bad blood" towards Thomas, explaining his competitive background.
