Ice Spice has revealed the invaluable advice Taylor Swift gave her that she turns to whenever she feels doubtful about her career. The 25-year-old rapper and the pop superstar have been close friends since collaborating on Swift's track 'Karma' in May 2023.
Speaking to Nylon magazine, Ice Spice shared that Taylor told her: 'As long as you keep making music, everything's going to be fine.' She added: 'The thing about Taylor is that she keeps it so real... Every time we hang out, she's not just giving me advice... Whenever I'm feeling doubtful or not as confident, having writer's block no matter what it is, things like that really, really stand out to me.'
The 'Barbie World' hitmaker noted that Taylor gave her this advice 'a few years ago' and it has stuck with her ever since. Beyond career guidance, the two also bond over food and everyday topics.
Last year, Ice Spice revealed that Taylor had been teaching her about American football, ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl where Taylor's boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious. Attending the game, Ice admitted she was 'incredibly confused' and would simply wait for Taylor to cheer before reacting.
