Jack Kay, the internet sensation known as Ibiza Final Boss, has died at the age of 25. The news was confirmed by his family in a statement released on social media.
Kay rose to fame earlier this month when a video of him dancing in Ibiza went viral. His distinctive bowl-cut hairstyle, often compared to the Battle of Hastings, became an internet meme, and he was quickly dubbed the 'Final Boss' of the party island.
He capitalised on his sudden fame by launching a cryptocurrency, releasing a track on Spotify, and securing a five-figure deal with a clothing brand. Brand expert Nick Ede estimated Kay could earn over £250,000 through deals and club tours.
Kay made a surprise appearance at Creamfields festival in Cheshire just days before his death, where he was brought on stage by DJ Patrick Topping. Thousands of revellers cheered as he appeared, swapping his usual vest for a blue zip-up top.
His family have asked for privacy at this difficult time. Tributes have poured in from fans and fellow influencers, remembering him as a 'legend' and 'the king of summer'.
