Elizabeth Hurley Learning Guitar from Boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus: 'I'm Appalling'

Elizabeth Hurley has revealed she is taking guitar lessons from her boyfriend, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, admitting she is currently 'appalling' at the instrument. The 60-year-old actress, known for her role in Channel 4's The Inheritance, spoke exclusively to HELLO! about her new hobby and her first summer in England since going public with her romance in April.

'Billy is teaching me to play the guitar; right now I'm appalling, but I'm hoping to improve!' Hurley said. Cyrus, famous for his hit 'Achy Breaky Heart', is a multiple Grammy and Country Music Association Award winner, suggesting his teaching may soon yield results.

Hurley also praised her close circle of friends, including Elton John, his husband David Furnish, and actress Patsy Kensit. 'I worship my girlfriends. We've been there for each other through thick and thin, and I’d be bereft without them,' she said. She added that her son Damian, 23, remains a central figure in her life, with the pair maintaining a tradition of annual holidays together, usually in the Maldives or at their home in Herefordshire.
