Hundreds Watch Pitbull Glasgow Gig Free from Hill

Hundreds of music fans without tickets to Pitbull's Glasgow show still enjoyed the party by gathering on a nearby hill overlooking Bellahouston Park. While thousands packed into the Summer Sessions concert on Wednesday night, July 1, another crowd formed outside the venue, taking advantage of an elevated viewpoint with a clear view of the stage as Mr Worldwide performed to a rain-soaked audience.

Viral Video Captures Impromptu Gathering

Footage from the night captured how far the party stretched beyond the ticket barriers, with fans turning a grassy hill into an unofficial viewing area as Pitbull's set got underway. Despite the rain, the scenes looked as lively outside as inside, with crowds dancing, singing, and making the most of the free view. The impromptu gathering has since gone viral on TikTok after user @georgina.paton shared a video of Scots enjoying the gig from the unique spot.

Posting the clip, she wrote: "We had a lot more friends on the hill tonight. Honestly one of the best gigs I've ever been to... minus a ticket. Very wholesome vibes watching everyone have so much fun in the rain." The video has racked up more than 108,000 views and over 8,000 likes, with social media users praising the atmosphere created by those watching from outside the venue.

Fans Dance and Sing Without Tickets

The clip shows hundreds of people spread across the grassy hill as Pitbull performed his hit Fireball on stage. Despite not having tickets, fans can be seen dancing, singing, and jumping along to the music, with one giant conga line weaving its way down the hill. The torrential rain that soaked Glasgow throughout the evening did little to dampen the mood, with those without tickets making the most of the situation and enjoying the Miami-based rapper from afar.

Many who attended the concert admitted the hill looked just as entertaining as the event. One user commented on the post: "Looks like yous had more fun than us inside. We couldn’t move lol." Another user agreed, writing: "Yous looked like yous had a better time there than inside I would have wanted to join yous lol." Others said the clip perfectly captured the spirit of live music, with one user stating, "Proof music brings people together," alongside a red heart emoji. Another joked that those without tickets had come out on top, penning: "Better view didn't pay, win win."

Curiosity About the Viewpoint

The video also sparked plenty of curiosity, with dozens asking exactly where the viewpoint was located in the hope of using it for future concerts. "Could you share the rough address for the hill please?" one person asked. Another wrote: "How do I get to this hill? What's the address or could someone send pin please." Although one comment pointed out that this hill is normally locked off with a big gate so people don't get to see the concert from the hill normally.
