Marvin Humes has revealed that a family trip to watch England secure a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup was planned two and a half years in advance. The Humes family—Marvin, Rochelle, and their three children Alaia-Mai, Valentina, and Blake—were among the spectators in Miami as England defeated Norway 2-1 on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
England's Path to the Semi-Finals
Thomas Tuchel's squad arrived in Florida after a 3-2 Round of 16 victory over Mexico in Kansas City. Jude Bellingham's brace secured the win against Norway, setting up a semi-final clash with Argentina on Wednesday, July 15, in Atlanta.
The Humes Family Adventure
Rochelle had previously announced she was taking a month off work to spend time with her family. The trip began with a visit to Disney World, which Rochelle documented on Instagram. She wrote to her 2.2 million followers: "Turns out Disney is just as magical at 37 as it is at 7. Core memories unlocked and it’s only day 1."
The family then traveled to Miami for the quarter-final. Sharing videos on Instagram Stories, Rochelle called the experience "magic" and said it was "a night we will NEVER forget!" Marvin added: "We planned this day 2 1/2 years ago! The stars aligned."
Unforgettable Family Moment
Rochelle later posted more content, describing the match as "UNFORGETTABLE" and a "proper pinch-me family moment." She wrote: "The nerves, the noise, the screaming, the hugging, the kids completely caught up in the magic of it all… and THAT result. Honestly, what a night!!" She concluded: "Core memory officially unlocked. Feeling very grateful. This has made our summer!! COME ON ENGLANDDDDD."
