WWE legend Hulk Hogan died aged 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Florida home on Thursday morning. Emergency services were called at 9:51 am, and Hogan was rushed to hospital, where he died at 11:17 am.
In the weeks leading up to his death, Hogan had experienced significant health problems. A source reported he had a 'very weak heart', suffered from shortness of breath, tired easily, and had lost weight. He also underwent neck surgery shortly before his death.
Friend Lummy revealed on a podcast that Hogan 'couldn't talk' and was in a serious condition. Another associate, Bubba, said Hogan was at home in a hospital bed, being kept comfortable after doctors could do no more.
WWE confirmed his death, describing him as 'one of pop culture's most recognisable figures' who helped the organisation gain global popularity in the 1980s. Hogan was reportedly estranged from his daughter Brooke at the time of his death.
