Hollywood Undead’s Danny and Johnny Reveal UK Tour Plans

Hollywood Undead have unveiled plans for a UK tour and teased new music. In an exclusive interview, band members Johnny and Danny shared details of their upcoming tour and album.

UK Tour Plans Revealed

The American rap rock group announced their intention to tour the UK next year. Speaking at Download Festival, their first UK performance since the coronavirus lockdown, Johnny said: “We’re coming back at the top of next year to do a full UK run because we haven’t done one since before the COVID time, which is weird to even think about. But it’s been a really long time, I’m really looking forward to seeing our fans and the people we know out here.”

New Music on the Horizon

In addition to the tour, fans can expect a new album. Johnny revealed: “We’re doing a fall tour, we’ll probably put another song out. We’re going to put out an album at the top of next year. None of the songs we put out will be on it. It will be completely different.” He explained that recent tracks like “Feels Like Home” are standalone singles, with more to come before the album release.

Vulnerability in Their Music

The band discussed their latest single, “Feels Like Home,” which they describe as their most vulnerable track since their debut single “No. 5” in 2008. Johnny said: “We’ve always tapped danced around all that stuff. I think the majority of our music we actually listen to is more in that lane, so it’s very natural for us. We’ve had ‘Bullet,’ ‘The Diary,’ once in a while you’ve got to let that outside therapy.” Danny added: “We go through hard times, sometimes, life can get rough. When it does, a song comes out of that, and hopefully it connects with somebody out there that might be going through a rough patch in their life, and that song is about being in the trenches and how you get so used to being there, that it almost feels normal.”

Festival Advice

With festival season underway, Johnny offered practical advice: “The hygiene issue here is probably the big one, bring some baby wipes or some body wipes. I don’t know, people stink. So you don’t want to smell, you know what I mean? Bring a bottle of cologne or perfume. I don’t know some sanitiser.” Danny added: “A little deodorant goes a long way...” Johnny joked: “I would just say hygiene, after three days of the mud, it gets funky.”

The band’s upcoming UK tour promises new tracks, with Danny and Johnny joking that fans will ask them to “stop playing these new songs,” while they will happily play their hits for crowds.
