Hollyoaks Star Callum Kerr Marries After Parents Tragedy

Former Hollyoaks actor Callum Kerr has married his fiancée Lauren Stacey, just weeks after the tragic death of his mother and stepfather in France. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony, as confirmed by sources close to the family.

Kerr, 30, who played PC George Kiss in the Channel 4 soap, announced his engagement in September 2024 after proposing to Stacey during a horse ride in South Africa. The couple welcomed a baby girl earlier in 2024.

The wedding comes amid a devastating period for the Scottish actor, whose mother Dawn Searle, 56, and stepfather Andrew Searle, 62, were found dead at their home in southwest France on 7 February. French authorities have said the deaths were 'clearly a homicide' and are investigating possible links to organised crime, as Mr Searle was a former organised crime investigator.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Kerr said: 'At this time, Callum Kerr, Amanda Kerr, Tom Searle & Ella Searle are grieving the tragic loss of their mother and father, Dawn and Andrew Searle. No family member is available for media interviews or comments. We kindly request that their privacy be respected during this difficult period.'

The couple's bodies were discovered by a neighbour after they failed to appear for a planned dog walk. Mrs Searle was found with a head injury near the front door, surrounded by scattered jewellery, while Mr Searle may have been tortured before being killed, according to reports.

The UK Foreign Office is supporting the family and liaising with local authorities as the investigation continues.
