Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas has revealed that he and his girlfriend Jess Bell are expecting their first child together. The 48-year-old, best known for playing Warren Fox on the Channel 4 soap, shared the news on Instagram on Valentine's Day, posting a photo of the couple holding baby scan pictures.
Writing alongside the image, Lomas said: 'With it being valentines day and a day of Love. I thought I would share with you all the wonderful news that myself and @drjessbell are expecting a beautiful little baby girl. I hope you all have a great day and sending love to you all.'
Among those offering congratulations was his sister Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale, who commented: 'Auntie again!' His Hollyoaks co-star Jessica Fox also wrote: 'Such beautiful news! Congratulations to you both!!'
Lomas already has two children: a son Billy from a previous relationship, and daughter Polly, 12, with his ex-wife, former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh. The couple also lost a son, Archie Jay Lomas, shortly after his birth in 2009. Lomas has previously spoken of his heartbreak at not seeing Billy for six years, writing on his birthday last year: 'It's been 6 years since I've been able to see you... I hope with all my heart you get to see this and that one day we will be reunited again.'
The actor recently became engaged to Jess, a dentist, whom he has been dating for two years. He proposed in Mexico, telling OK! Magazine: 'I had been planning it for a while and I wanted it to be perfect... I thought, "Where better than in our favourite restaurant in our favourite resort in our favourite country?"'
