Hollyoaks actor Ben Ryan Davies has become a father for the first time after secretly welcoming a baby boy with his partner Lottie. The couple announced the arrival on social media, revealing the tot's name as Jensen.
The 32-year-old, best known for playing Nick Savage on the Channel 4 soap, shared a photo on Instagram of himself and Lottie smiling on a festive day out, with another image showing Lottie holding the newborn. Lottie captioned the post: 'And Jensen was asleep for the whole thing.'
The couple first announced their pregnancy in July, posting a picture of a baby sonogram with the words: 'Big news! Incoming October 2024!' They went public with their relationship in April, having got together in October 2023. Davies wrote at the time: 'What an amazing 6 months. I'm so excited for our future together.'
Davies joined Hollyoaks in 2016 as the villainous Nick Savage, a role that saw him involved in harrowing storylines including the rape of Ellie Nightingale and later his girlfriend Holly Cunningham. His character was eventually imprisoned, and Davies left the soap in 2017. He was praised for his portrayal and nominated for a British Soap Award.
Before Hollyoaks, Davies appeared in Waterloo Road as student Ronan Burley, and has since made guest appearances in Casualty and Father Brown. His latest role is in a pantomime production of The Further Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan at the Forum Theatre in Billingham.
