Holly Willoughby Makes Rare Public Appearance at BGC Charity Day

Holly Willoughby made a rare public appearance on the trading floor for the BGC Charity Day, joining former England manager Gareth Southgate and Princess Beatrice to raise funds for children’s charity Together For Short Lives. The 43-year-old TV presenter, who left ITV’s This Morning last October, has kept a low profile since a security guard was jailed for life in July over a plot to kidnap and murder her.

At the annual event organised by BGC Partners, Willoughby greeted children while dressed in a blue suit and wearing a badge promoting the charity, which supports children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as their families. The appearance marks one of her few public outings since the high-profile court case.

Earlier this year, Willoughby hosted ITV’s Dancing On Ice alongside Stephen Mulhern, and the pair are set to present the rebooted game show You Bet! on the same channel. The BGC Charity Day, a staple in the financial calendar, saw celebrities take turns as brokers to raise money for various causes.
