Holly Valance's Family Defends Her After Bodyguard Kiss

Holly Valance has been pictured kissing a man eight years her junior who previously worked as a bodyguard at the London home she shared with her ex-husband, Nick Candy. The 42-year-old singer and actress was seen locking lips with Grant Gale, 34, a former soldier, during a stroll through a London park.

The couple walked hand in hand after their passionate kiss, with Valance wearing a black top and leggings and Gale’s denim jacket draped over her shoulders. Gale was dressed in a white and green top and light denim jeans. According to reports, Gale used to provide security at the £270 million Chelsea mansion where Valance lived with Candy and their two children.

Valance and Candy split in June 2025 after 13 years of marriage. The couple had signed a pre-nuptial agreement prior to their 2012 wedding, but sources suggested Valance hoped to negotiate further in financial proceedings. A friend of Candy described him as a “very decent guy” who would “always do right by Holly and their children.”

In recent years, Valance has become involved in right-wing politics, visiting former US President Donald Trump in 2022 alongside Candy and Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. She has also been photographed with far-right activist Tommy Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, on a luxury train with actor Laurence Fox. Friends have expressed concern over her association with Robinson, who has multiple convictions for assault, mortgage fraud, and contempt of court.

Valance’s family have defended her new relationship, stating that she is entitled to move on with her life after a difficult period. The former Neighbours star continues to co-parent her two children with Candy.
