Gordon Ramsay has defended his new son-in-law, Adam Peaty, after fans claimed they spotted a 'subtle dig' in the Olympic swimmer's wedding speech. Adam, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25, at Bath Abbey at the end of 2025.
In a clip shared on Instagram, Adam told his bride he would 'always choose' her, wiping away tears as Holly was given away by her father. Gordon commented: 'Beautiful words @adamramsaypeaty @hollyramsaypeaty True Love ❤️ congratulations love you both so much Dad ❤️'.
However, fans drew comparisons to Brooklyn Beckham, who has used similar language amid his family feud. One commenter wrote: '”I’ll always choose you” hmmmm, can’t help but wonder how Victoria felt hearing that sentence, especially since it’s the same one Brooklyn keeps using in his posts as a subtle jab at his family'. Brooklyn has repeatedly said he will 'always choose' his wife Nicola Peltz after blocking his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, on Instagram.
The Beckhams attended the wedding, marking their first public outing since Christmas without their son. The Ramsays and Beckhams have been friends for years, with Gordon and David sharing a close bond.
Gordon also made a dig at Adam's family in his own speech, according to The Sun, telling Holly: 'Shame you don't have the same' regarding her in-laws. Adam's mother was reportedly banned from the ceremony.
