Holly Hagan, the former star of MTV's Geordie Shore, has criticised the show for failing to protect her from excessive drinking during her first night on set. Now 33, Hagan reflected on her debut in 2011, when she was just 18, and admitted she was 'very young and naive'.
In a candid Instagram Q&A, Hagan responded to a fan asking about regrets, saying: 'I do regret the first night and wish someone had stepped in to stop the lads egging me on to keep downing shots.' She added that she had never drunk a Jägerbomb before and felt a duty of care was lacking.
Hagan, who left the show in 2016 after seven years, also opened up about a recent miscarriage. She revealed plans to expand her family with husband Jacob Blyth, but suffered a loss. She urged fans to be mindful when asking about more children, saying: 'Just a reminder to be mindful when commenting, saying, “When’s the next?” Because how on earth would we know that?'
Hagan married footballer Blyth in 2022, and they have a son, Alpha-Jax. She met Blyth in 2017, a year after leaving Geordie Shore, and they got engaged in Ibiza in 2019.
