Helen George, best known for playing Trixie Franklin in BBC's Call The Midwife, has delighted fans with rare family photos from a 'magical' holiday in Lapland, Finland. The 40-year-old actress travelled with her new boyfriend, Dan Innes, and her two daughters, Wren Ivy, 7, and Lark, 4, whom she shares with former partner Jack Ashton.
The trip marked a significant milestone for the couple, who have been dating for a year. Helen shared a series of snaps on Instagram, including a selfie in a faux-fur hat and scarf, a photo of Dan standing beneath the Northern Lights, and a black-and-white image of her skiing with her daughters. She captioned the post: 'Lows of -32°, highs of Aurora, Husky’s, whiskeys, sauna hats. Magical memories in Lapland.'
Fans and friends flooded the comments with compliments, calling the photos 'magical' and praising Helen for giving her children 'amazing experiences'. One wrote: 'Love love love these photos. Magical, you give the girls the most amazing experiences!' Another added: 'Cute pictures. Love seeing your girls. Burr in your swimsuit.'
Helen confirmed her romance with Dan on Valentine's Day 2025, sharing a photo of a meal at The Watermans Arms in Barnes. Dan, a real estate professional with over 25 years of experience, is the managing director and founder of consultancy firm Innesco. The couple reportedly met on the dating app Raya.
Helen split from Jack Ashton, her co-star and father of her children, in 2023 after seven years together. She asked for privacy at the time, stating: 'Our two beautiful girls remain the focus.'
