Helen Flanagan, best known for playing Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, has shared an unfiltered social media post discussing her ex-partners, life as a single mother, and the impact of her ADHD diagnosis on her daily life.
ADHD and Relationships
In a series of Instagram posts, the 35-year-old actress revealed that her ADHD heightens her emotions, particularly in romantic relationships. She shared a photo with her first boyfriend, Danny, and wrote: "I moved in with him when I was 17 and he could drive. It's always very intense and I fall in love hard. Doesn't mean that it's not genuine as at the time it is."
Flanagan, who split from footballer Scott Sinclair in 2022 after 13 years together, also reflected on that relationship: "My second boyfriend was my kids' dad who I was with for 13 years and I had his name tattooed at 19 lol." The couple share three children: Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and five-year-old Charlie.
Casual Sex and Dating
Referring to her brief relationship with footballer Robbie Talbot, which ended in May 2025, Flanagan said: "Last time I had proper feelings for someone it just felt a lot. Intense." She added: "My friends say I'm like Cathy Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights lol. I get limerence and I also get terrible rejection sensitivity but I'm learning to deal with that better."
Posing in lingerie, she declared: "When it comes to sex I'm not a casual girl - I'm a lover girl/wifey and I do get attracted. I think guys that ghost girls after sleeping with them are big rat fats lol." Describing her ideal partner, she said: "I go for someone that I find exciting. I go for a soul connection. Someone that makes me feel understood. I look for the male version of me."
Daily Challenges with ADHD
Flanagan admitted she is "super messy" and often unaware of clutter until others point it out. She struggles with forms and admin tasks, relying on her father Paul for help with paperwork like car tax and parking fines. "He basically keeps me out of trouble so I can be in society. He basically helps me with all my life admin. Long live Paul. Love you Dad," she said.
Despite joking about saying "stupid s**", she emphasised: "I'm definitely not stupid. I just have ADHD." She concluded: "I lose s*** all the time. Important stuff like passports, keys, bank cards. Basically a s*** adult. Anyway that's quite enough from me. Lol."
Reactions from Fans and Friends
The post resonated with many followers. Charlotte Dawson commented: "Love you. Here here sister." Too Hot to Handle star Nicole O'Brien wrote: "You're a gorgeous human. So real for this." Christine McGuinness, who has ADHD and autism, responded with a red heart emoji.
