Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has shared a candid update on her life and career after recently leaving the home she shared with her ex-fiance and their children. The actress, 35, revealed her struggles with self-identity, career frustrations, and uncertainty about where to live next in a video posted to her Instagram Story.
Leaving the Family Home
Helen shares three children—Matilda, Delilah, and Charlie—with footballer ex Scott Sinclair. The former couple split in 2022 after 13 years together and have been co-parenting while living at opposite ends of the country. Early last year, Helen shared that she was in the process of leaving their eight-bedroom home near Bolton, which they purchased five years before their separation.
In May, Helen confirmed on Instagram that she and her children had left the property. She wrote: "Saying goodbye to our beautiful home (Charlie obviously playing up). It's always been just us, just us 4. I feel like I really found myself in this house and it's been special." She added: "There are no words for how much I love you babies and I will always teach you about what is important in life and what's not and about having morals and integrity and living your lives authentically and being true to yourselves."
Career and Housing Doubts
Now, in a video reported by The Sun, Helen spoke directly to the camera about her current state of mind. She said: "I don’t know, I’ve just kind of felt like… I’ve not really been sure of myself recently. I kind of feel like… I’m turning 36 in August, I’ve just done this house move, I’m kind of unsure where I am like career wise as well. There’s a lot of change going on, and I don’t know, I’ve just felt a bit weird in myself."
She elaborated on her moving plans: "I'm in two minds about moving to London. I was going to buy here then I decided not to buy here so everything’s just been a bit, like, all over the place." Regarding her career, she admitted: “I’ve just felt frustrated with work as well because I really want to act and basically, I just want a job at the moment and feel frustrated in that way."
Looking Ahead
Despite the challenges, Helen remains focused on her children. In her earlier Instagram post, she emphasized: "My relationships with all 3 of them will always be my priority and always will be to my last breath. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you 3 x Mummy’s always got it, always."
As she navigates this period of change, fans have shown support for the actress, who is best known for her role as Rosie Webster on Coronation Street. Helen's honesty about her struggles has resonated with many, highlighting the realities of major life transitions.
