Helen Flanagan Bed Bound For Days In Health Struggle

Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has revealed she suffered an episode of psychosis after a bad reaction to ADHD medication. The 33-year-old actress said she had been 'emotionally struggling' following her split from long-term partner Scott Sinclair 18 months ago.

In her first Instagram post since January, Flanagan explained that she had 'struggled mental health-wise' in December and January. She took medication to help her cope better as a working single mother of three, but experienced a severe reaction that led to several days of psychosis.

The psychosis forced her to withdraw from the UK tour of Cluedo 2, where she was due to play Miss Scarlett. She was replaced by Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach, with producers citing 'medical reasons' at the time.

Flanagan, who has three children with footballer Scott Sinclair, said she was 'heartbroken' to pull out but needed to stay at home to recover with the help of her parents. She added that she is now in a 'really good happy place' and has found therapy to be 'amazing'.
