Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose has married her new partner Chris Hargreaves in a ceremony at Briars Hall Country Club in Lancashire. The 56-year-old, best known for playing Gina Bellamy on the ITV drama, shared pictures on social media with the caption: 'Married the love of my life yesterday.'
Penrose wore a fitted ballgown with a lace bodice and tulle A-line skirt, while Hargreaves opted for a light green suit. Fans congratulated the couple, with one commenting: 'Did you say yes in a heartbeat?'
The wedding comes four years after Penrose's divorce from her first husband, ITV presenter Mark Simpkin, whom she married in 2003 after meeting at the National Television Awards. The couple, who have two sons, split in 2021 after 18 years of marriage.
Penrose and Hargreaves went public with their relationship in 2021, and he proposed during a holiday in Tenerife in July 2023. Penrose's acting career includes roles in Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and Celebrity Big Brother, but she is best known for her 17-year stint on Heartbeat, where she appeared in over 300 episodes.
