Harry Styles Pays Heartfelt Tribute to One Direction Bandmates

Harry Styles paid a heartfelt tribute to his One Direction bandmates during the final show of his record-breaking Wembley residency on Saturday night. The 32-year-old former One Direction star closed the 12-night London run of his Together, Together tour, addressing approximately 80,000 fans.

Emotional Onstage Tribute

Speaking on stage, Styles paused to thank his former bandmates. “I wouldn’t be on this stage if it wasn’t for four friends of mine that were a massive part of this journey,” he said. “I wanna thank Niall, Louis, Zayn and my dear friend Liam for these nights and everything that I learned in this time, the friendship, everything… none of this would be possible, I wouldn’t be here without you, thank you so much.”

Styles also reflected on his X Factor origins, noting that 16 years ago he was put into a band just outside Wembley. “As I drive through this area, I’m flooded with memories from that time. And every time I have the privilege of returning to Wembley, it’s meant an incredibly great deal to me. Thank you so much.”

Record-Breaking Residency

The residency saw Styles surpass Coldplay’s 10-night run last summer, becoming the artist with the most performances in a single year at the venue. He also broke Taylor Swift’s record of eight nights for a solo artist during a single concert run. Originally announced as six nights, demand led to six additional shows.

Wembley Stadium’s official social media posted before the final show: “From the first night to the twelfth. Tonight marks the final show of Harry Styles’ Together, Together tour at Wembley Stadium. A record-breaking run. 12 nights we’ll never forget. Let’s make the final night one to remember.”

Tour and Career Highlights

Styles kicked off the Together, Together tour in Amsterdam in May, playing 10 dates. He is next set to perform in Sao Paulo, Mexico City, New York City and Melbourne, with the tour wrapping up in Sydney on December 13. The Watermelon Sugar singer released his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, in March.

Styles rose to fame as a member of One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, formed on The X Factor in 2010. After the group went on hiatus in 2016, he launched a successful solo career, winning multiple Grammy and Brit awards. Payne died in 2024, aged 31, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
