Victoria Beckham has shared an emotional birthday tribute to her daughter Harper as the youngest Beckham turned 14 on Thursday. The fashion designer, 51, posted a string of childhood photos on Instagram, calling Harper “my world” and praising her as “strong, confident, kind and talented”.
Harper’s older brother Romeo, 21, also marked the occasion, sharing a photo of the pair and writing: “Happy 14th to the most amazing human there is, love you always and forever.” In a surprise post, Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel joined the tributes, uploading a sunny snapshot of her and Harper on a yacht.
However, tensions within the Beckham family continue to draw scrutiny, with insiders fearing the strained relationship between David and Victoria and their eldest son Brooklyn may have cast a shadow over Harper’s birthday. Sources claim Brooklyn, 25, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, have distanced themselves from Harper in recent months.
One incident raised eyebrows when the couple flew to London in May to film an advert, just over a mile from the Beckhams’ home, but reportedly did not visit or reach out to Harper. According to MailOnline, David and Victoria are in the dark about whether Brooklyn will contact Harper at all, as they are currently not in touch with him.
The friction has played out subtly on social media. Brooklyn shared a cooking video with a song about speaking out, while Nicola posted photos wearing replica David Beckham shorts on holiday. Romeo recently wrote a pointed message about valuing people who care about you, saying: “Life is too short not to tell people you care about them.”
