Harper Beckham is reportedly 'devastated' ahead of her 15th birthday, with sources claiming her brother Brooklyn Beckham will not be attending the celebration. The once-close siblings are now estranged amid a wider family feud sparked by Brooklyn's rift with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
Nicola Peltz's 'Dream Sister' Comment Adds Fuel
The tension escalated after Brooklyn's wife, Nicola Peltz, referred to her new sister-in-law, Kenya Kinski-Jones, as her 'dream sister' following her brother Will's wedding last weekend. Harper was reportedly hurt by the remark. She was also seen looking despondent when she attempted to deliver a letter to Brooklyn at his Florida home after their father, David, received his Hollywood Star of Fame, but Brooklyn was in New York at the time.
Brooklyn Likely to Miss Harper's Birthday
It is now reported that Brooklyn is likely to miss Harper's 15th birthday party next week. The 26-year-old used to share cute snaps of his sister on Instagram with Nicola, 31, but has stopped after accusing David and Victoria of trying to sabotage their relationship.
A source told the Mail: 'Harper is heartbroken and devastated at her brother’s decision not to speak to her and now her birthday is just days away it becomes a difficult scenario once again.' The source added: 'They were so close. Now he won’t speak to her and she can’t understand why. There is nothing worse for Harper than him ignoring her on her birthday.'
Family Feud Continues
Brooklyn did celebrate Harper's 14th birthday last year with a sweet Instagram message, writing: 'Happy birthday Harper we love u'. However, the feud shows no sign of abating after Brooklyn made a post in January that reportedly left Victoria 'on the floor'. Last month, Harper turned up at Brooklyn's house unannounced but left seconds later without seeing him, as he was in New York.
Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola are thought to have responded to the letter, with representatives for the couple describing the move as 'choreographed' for attention – which the Beckhams deny. In another snub, Brooklyn filmed an advert for Door Dash appearing to make a dig at his family, joking he would be at the World Cup for 'complicated reasons', branded a 'cheap shot' by some.
