Harper Beckham has reportedly been left devastated by her sister-in-law Nicola Peltz's latest dig, as the feud between the Beckhams and Brooklyn continues to escalate.
Nicola's 'dream sister' comment sparks hurt
Two years ago, Nicola, 31, called Harper, 14, her "perfect dream little sister." But now, Nicola has hailed a new "dream sister" – her brother Will Peltz's new bride, Kenya Kinski-Jones. Last week, Nicola posted a gushing tribute celebrating Will's wedding to Kenya, 33, writing: "This wedding was truly one of the most beautiful things I've ever had the privilege of witnessing – Willy, thank you for finally and officially giving me my dream sister, Ken."
A source said the teenager can't help but feel hurt by the remarks. "Nicola's 'sister' remark feels like a dig at the Beckhams, who are taking it personally," the source revealed. "It feels like Harper has been caught in the crossfire of the Beckhams' fight and she's in the middle of it all. All she wants is to see her brother."
Brooklyn's estrangement deepens
Brooklyn, 27, cut ties with his family – including his sister – in an explosive Instagram statement in January, claiming he had been "controlled" by his parents and accusing them of "trying endlessly" to sabotage his and Nicola's relationship. Until now, Harper had managed to avoid becoming embroiled in the spat. Back in February, a source told New that Brooklyn still "really cares for" his sister, and that Nicola was devastated by the prospect that she and Harper may no longer be able to spend time together.
Previously, Nicola had nothing but praise for Harper, telling an interviewer in 2022: "I wanted a little sister so bad and Harper is the sweetest. I have the coolest little sister. She sends me Snapchats." Harper, meanwhile, is said to have idolised Nicola, who she saw as a big sister. In 2024, they attended the premiere of Lola – Nicola's directorial debut – together.
Harper's pain and family impact
The rift between Brooklyn and his family has only deepened, and their disagreement now seems to be affecting Harper. The insider revealed: "It's really painful for her, because she genuinely misses Brooklyn. They had a very nice and close relationship. Out of all the brothers she looked up to him, so she's really feeling it."
Last month, Harper suffered another setback when she turned up unannounced at Brooklyn and Nicola's LA home while she was in the US to see her dad receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her visit lasted less than a minute, as Brooklyn and Nicola were out of town. The following day, a spokesperson for Brooklyn lambasted the Beckham family, labelling Harper's visit as "choreographed for the cameras."
While Harper is likely still reeling from Nicola's post, the entire family has been impacted by the high-profile wedding. "It is another slap in the face amid the feud," our source revealed. "This whole thing has taken a real toll on Harper and the family. Victoria is distraught, but the more she tries to reach out, the more Brooklyn goes the other way. She finds it all embarrassing."
