Harper Beckham's visit to her older brother Brooklyn's Los Angeles home has reportedly reignited tensions within the Beckham family. The 14-year-old had hoped to see her 27-year-old brother during her trip to the US, but found him absent from his residence.
The visit came shortly after their father David Beckham was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It is understood that Harper intended to deliver a handwritten letter to Brooklyn. However, representatives for Brooklyn have accused the Beckhams of choreographing the visit for publicity, with a spokesperson telling the Mirror: 'That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all - this was choreographed for the cameras.'
Brooklyn himself criticised the event, posting a Instagram Story of himself running in New York to demonstrate he was not at home. The move appears to deepen a rift that became public earlier this year when Brooklyn issued a statement announcing his separation from his family, accusing his parents of controlling narratives and lying to the press.
A source close to the family told the Mail: 'It doesn't take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around. She would give anything to have her brother back.' Meanwhile, David Beckham declined to comment, stating the matter was private.
