Justin Bieber has described his wife Hailey Bieber’s recent hospitalisation as “really scary”, after she suffered a small blood clot on her brain. The singer addressed fans at his Denver concert on Wednesday, giving an update on the model’s health.
Bieber told the crowd that Hailey was “good” but acknowledged the ordeal had been frightening. “Life randomly throws you curve balls,” he said, noting that the incident occurred shortly before the show, which was delayed by technical difficulties.
Hailey Bieber, 25, was taken to hospital in Palm Springs after experiencing “stroke-like symptoms” while having breakfast with her husband. Doctors diagnosed a small blood clot on the brain, which caused a temporary lack of oxygen. She later said her body passed the clot on its own, and she recovered fully within hours.
The model thanked medical staff and well-wishers on social media, calling it “one of the scariest moments I’ve ever been through”. She has since returned home and is reported to be doing well.
Justin Bieber’s comments were met with cheers from the audience, who showed support for the couple. The singer reassured fans that Hailey is now safe, adding that he has faith in her recovery.
