Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl. The couple shared the news on Thursday via Steinfeld’s Substack newsletter Beau Society.
“Our baby girl has arrived!!” they wrote. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
The 29-year-old actor-singer skipped the mid-March Oscars ceremony as her due date approached but attended the 2026 Golden Globes in January alone, as her husband, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, played against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The couple married in May 2025 after two years of dating.
Steinfeld, who mostly kept the pregnancy private, occasionally shared updates on Beau Society. In a February 20 post, she wrote about the introspection of preparing for the baby. Allen, also 29, said in a January press conference that fatherhood is “the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life”.
The couple announced the pregnancy in December with a video of Steinfeld wearing a “mother” sweatshirt and showing her bump in the snow.
