Greg James Reveals Secret Flight to Taylor Swift's Wedding After Sheffield Night Out
Greg James Secretly Flew to Taylor Swift's Wedding

Greg James has finally confirmed that he secretly flew to New York for Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce, just hours after enjoying a night out in Sheffield. The BBC Radio 1 host had been the subject of speculation after failing to answer his phone following the event, but he has now revealed that he and his wife Bella attended the star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden.

From Sheffield Pub to New York Wedding

On Thursday, Greg and his Radio 1 colleague Alice Levine were in Sheffield for the Crossed Wires Festival, hosting their Bad Chat podcast. The pair visited the legendary Fagans pub on Broad Lane before dining at the local favourite Béres, where they enjoyed a classic ham, crackling, and stuffing sandwich. Hours later, Greg and Bella jetted to New York for the wedding of the century.

Greg took to Instagram to share a photo of a huge slice of pizza, writing: "I am currently experiencing the world's greatest hangover and unable to reply to the hilarious number of messages I have received over the last 24 hours. But just to say: True to her word, of course the invitation arrived, and of course I couldn't tell anyone. And oh my God, what an unbelievably brilliant night. I'm off for a nap."

Long-Standing Friendship with Taylor Swift

Greg's friendship with Taylor Swift dates back over a decade, first bonding when he drove her around London in a "dodgy hatchback" during an interview. Taylor has commented on their bond, saying they "get" one another's humour. Last year, during an interview on BBC Radio 1, Taylor confirmed that Greg would be invited to her wedding. When Greg joked that he would love Travis to perform a wrestling move on him into a swimming pool, Taylor replied: "The way that he's going to do that as soon as he sees you at our wedding. That's gonna happen."

Despite the invitation, Greg kept quiet about it. When asked earlier this year on This Morning whether he'd be joining Graham Norton at the wedding, he said: "I wish that I could come to you today with news of an invitation, but I've said this on the radio and to my friends who have been like, 'Have you got the invitation yet?' And I've said, not yet. Or maybe never! And I do think it will be great if I get to go with me and Graham [Norton], and also very funny if I don't get an invitation."

Wedding Details and Guests

Taylor and Travis tied the knot in front of 1,000 people at Madison Square Garden. The ceremony was officiated by their friend Adam Sandler. Taylor's long-term publicist, Tree Paine, said: "The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler." Other guests included Zoe Kravitz, Karlie Kloss, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Graham Norton, Ed Sheeran, and Hugh Grant. Taylor's famous "girl squad," including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, and the Haim sisters, were also in attendance.

Greg attended the wedding with his wife Bella, who wore a stunning red dress, while Greg looked dapper in an all-black suit. The pair posed for a picture together before heading to the venue.
