Gogglebox's Steph and Dom: Life After the Show and Gigi's Death

Steph and Dom Parker, the beloved couple from Gogglebox, left the show in 2016. Since then, they have sold their Kent mansion, moved to the Canary Islands, launched a gin brand, and faced the heartbreaking loss of their dog Gigi.

Property Sale and Move Abroad

The couple, married since 1998, joined Gogglebox in 2013 for its first series. They became fan favourites with their humorous takes on television highlights. After leaving in 2016, they released a book and appeared on shows like The Jump, Celebrity MasterChef, and Celebrity Hunted.

In 2021, following financial struggles that left them in debt, Steph and Dom sold their mansion in Sandwich, Kent, and moved to the Canary Islands. They had purchased the Grade I-listed boutique hotel, The Salutation, where they filmed for the Channel 4 show in 2004, and spent £2.5 million renovating it.

Health Scare and Dog's Death

In 2020, the Parkers admitted the company running the manor house would be liquidated and guests' deposits would be lost. The hotel subsequently shut. Dom told MailOnline: "Our lives have changed and moved on considerably, and we are not in a position to move permanently back to Sandwich."

In 2019, Steph revealed she was '20 minutes from death' after contracting double pneumonia on Boxing Day the previous year, with Dom calling it a "near-death experience". She told The Mirror: "I had started going a bit mad because I had no oxygen in my system. But I didn’t even realise it because when you are that sick you don’t really know what’s going on at all."

New Business Venture

In 2025, the couple suffered heartbreak when their miniature Dachshund, Gigi, who appeared on Gogglebox, died. They shared the news on Instagram, writing: "It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that we lost Gigi on Thursday 18th Sept in the early evening. She passed away at home, in our arms and has joined Coco over the bridge to continue their mischief and zoomies together."

Since leaving Gogglebox, Steph and Dom have launched their own gin, Steph and Dom’s Gin - Aftermath 1666, sold on their website for £36.40. They describe it as "not a floral, fruity or wildly herby gin" but one "designed to enthral and to be drunk neat, with water or in a martini." In May, they promoted a '2 for £60' special offer on Instagram. Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
