Gogglebox's Andrew on finding love again at 60

A popular star from the hit Channel 4 show Gogglebox has shared a deeply moving message about discovering romance later in life, prompting an outpouring of support from fans.

An Emotional Revelation on Instagram

Andrew, who joined the series in 2025 alongside his husband Alfie, posted an emotional video to his Instagram on Tuesday, 6th January 2026. In it, he reflected on his journey to finding love again after experiencing significant personal loss.

"I genuinely thought that my love story was over at 60," Andrew confessed in the clip. "I’d been through some loss and I was tired in a way that sleep doesn’t help. I wasn’t looking for anything big, just maybe peace and a quieter life."

A New Chapter with Alfie

Andrew explained how meeting Alfie changed everything. "And then somebody walked into my life that made me laugh, made me laugh properly like I’d never laughed before," he said. This experience led him to a powerful realisation: "That’s when I realised that love doesn’t disappear it just waits until you’re ready again."

The couple, who hail from the Cotswolds and have a 30-year age difference, tied the knot in a beautiful Italian wedding in May 2024. They became part of the Gogglebox family for its 26th series last year and have quickly become audience favourites due to their witty on-screen chemistry.

Fans Rally with Support

The heartfelt post quickly resonated with Andrew's followers, who flooded the comments with messages of love and encouragement. One fan wrote, "So happy for both of you, love seeing you on Gogglebox!" while another added, "I am beyond happy that love did find you again."

A third supporter highlighted their bond, commenting, "Such lovely heartfelt words. You guys clearly have a wonderful bond and sense of humour!"

On the show, the pair often share glimpses of their relationship, with Alfie recently joking about their love for TV dramas. Off-screen, they are devoted pet parents to their dog, Perkins, who has also made appearances on the Channel 4 programme.

Andrew ended his poignant video with a message of hope for others, stating: "60 it turns out wasn’t the end. It was just the beginning."
