Gogglebox Star Baasit Siddiqui's Wife Melissa Receives Support After 'Mum Fail'

The wife of beloved Gogglebox star Baasit Siddiqui has been flooded with messages of support after sharing a relatable 'mum fail' on social media.

Melissa Siddiqui took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that her son, Theodore, had informed her at the last minute that his school shoes were too tight. In a video captioned 'mum fail', she said: 'So, Theodore decided to tell me this morning that his toes are curling up in his shoes. Bad mum alert over here.'

Melissa then showed footage of her urgent trip to buy a new pair, adding that she had 'secured the goods' before sharing a photo of a celebratory coffee. The post's caption read: 'Today in a nutshell... why do kids like to throw curveballs like this? Why not tell me before today that they were a bit tight?'

Fans were quick to offer reassurance. One commented: 'Please don't feel bad Mel, you are a brilliant mum. My daughter walked around with the sole hanging off.' Another added: 'Because the feet haven't got to the brain yet... he'd have got there in the end but much later than you.'

Baasit, who first appeared on the Channel 4 show in 2013 alongside his brothers Umar and Raza, and father Sid, married Melissa in 2014. The couple share two children, Amelia and Theodore.
