Daniel Lustig Webb, known for his appearances on Gogglebox alongside his ex-husband Stephen Webb, has made a candid appearance on Channel 4's First Dates. The 44-year-old opened up about the emotional toll of his separation from Stephen, which occurred last year after 12 years together.
Daniel and Stephen joined Gogglebox in 2019 and quickly became fan favourites for their witty commentary. They left the show in 2023, with Daniel describing the experience as an 'absolute ride'. However, less than a year later, the couple announced their split, though they continue to live together in Brighton.
On First Dates, Daniel revealed he has been single for about 10 months and went on 17 dates in one month. He was paired with Simon, a father of two, and admitted that the breakup was 'very hard'. 'When you break up with someone, especially if you've been married and you've given your heart to it, it's upsetting,' he said.
Daniel also disclosed that he and Stephen still live together, though in separate rooms, and plan to sell their home eventually. Despite a pleasant evening, both Daniel and Simon agreed there was no romantic connection, with Simon saying he didn't feel any flirting between them.
