Gogglebox Star Raza Siddiqui Explains Hospital Absence from Show
Gogglebox Star Raza Siddiqui Reveals Hospital Stay Reason

In a heartfelt update from his hospital bed, Raza Siddiqui, a cherished star of the hit Channel 4 series Gogglebox, has finally addressed his noticeable absence from the show's latest season. The Siddiqui family, long-time fan favourites since the programme's inception in 2013, have been missing Raza's presence on their sofa, with only dad Sid and brothers Umar and Bassit appearing in recent episodes.

Hospital Selfie Reveals the Reason

Raza took to the Siddiqui family's Instagram page to share a series of photos from the hospital, some showing him connected to breathing machines. The post explained, "For you eagle-eyed Goggleboxers, you may have noticed that Raza hasn’t joined us on the sofa so far this season. Sadly he had a bit of a fall, a few weeks back and cracked some ribs."

Despite the setback, the family expressed optimism about his recovery, stating, "He’s absolutely smashing his recovery, staying positive and keeping himself entertained with walks, telly, reading and nephew cuddles with Theodore." They added that well-wishes from fans would brighten his spirits more than any medication, eagerly anticipating his return to the show alongside the rest of the beloved families.

Fan Reactions and Support

The Instagram update was met with an outpouring of support from followers, who flooded the comments with messages of encouragement. One user wrote, "Bless you get well soon, we look forward to having you back on our screens when you are well enough," while another wished him a "speedy recovery." A third commented, "Oh no! Get well soon!" highlighting the strong bond between the Siddiquis and their audience.

Other Gogglebox Absences Noted

Raza isn't the only Gogglebox star missing from the current series. Fans also observed that siblings Tremaine and Tristan Plummer were without their brother Twaine, who had been part of the show since 2016. On Instagram, Tremaine and Tristan confirmed Twaine's absence, joking, "It’s just the two T’s today as Twaine left us to go on holiday. So we’ve got a new member of the team now," as they introduced their dog. Twaine responded with, "Wish I was there," receiving birthday wishes from supporters in turn.

This revelation underscores the personal challenges faced by reality TV personalities, reminding viewers of the human stories behind the entertainment. As Raza continues his recovery, fans eagerly await his return to the Gogglebox sofa, hoping for a swift and full healing process.
