Good Morning Britain journalist Katy Rickitt has been inundated with support from fans after revealing the death of her beloved dog Tallulah, just a month after losing her other dog Daphne.
Katy, who has worked as a news correspondent on the ITV programme since 2012, took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news. She described making the 'horrific decision' to put Tallulah to sleep after a brain tumour caused her discomfort.
The journalist, who is married to former Coronation Street actor Adam Rickitt, said Tallulah was her 'soul animal' and that she and her husband are devastated. The couple also own an artisan bottle shop called Dexter and Jones in Knutsford, Cheshire.
In a lengthy and emotional post, Katy detailed the special bond she shared with Tallulah, recalling how the dog would bring her toys each morning and shower her with 'kisses of doom'. She also shared a video of the dog from a previous health scare three years ago.
Fans quickly rallied round, with many sending messages of condolence. One wrote: 'So sorry Katy. Sending lots of love to you, Adam and Dexter.' Another said: 'Thinking of you at this difficult time. T had an amazing life with you.'
