Good Morning Britain viewers were left frustrated during the latest live show after the programme disabled all comments on its X (formerly Twitter) videos.
Viewers react to comment restriction
Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder presented Friday's (July 24) programme live from the central London studio, delivering the day's biggest headlines including Edinburgh's new tourist tax. However, as the show continued on ITV1, viewers noticed that only one video—a clip of the hosts discussing 'picky bits' with Andi Peters—allowed comments.
Viewers quickly shared their frustration. One person wrote: '@gmb stopping people from commenting on posts. Absolutely pathetic but expected.' Another asked: 'Why are comments turned off on recent posts?' A third said: 'Allow comments on all or close this account!! We are allowed an opinion on breakfast but not on the PM working outside of No.10!!'
Someone else commented: 'So GMB is restricting the public from commenting on their posts! The whole point of X is that it's interactive and allows people to give their feedback on your programme. I suspect you haven't appreciated the comments, so you've censored them. That's as pathetic as it is ridiculous.'
Praise for the show
During the video, Kate revealed she loves scotch eggs, before Andi went through the selection of snacks on the desk, including quiche lorraine, small sausage rolls, and crisps. Other fans praised the show, writing: 'So funny, that is what we want in the morning.' Another added, 'Kate, I love how you're embracing your morning vibes. Keep slaying.'

Kate intervenes during interview
Elsewhere on today's GMB, Kate was forced to intervene during a live interview with Jane Meagher, the Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council. After noticing a man making a reverse peace sign behind Jane, Kate said: 'Just to say, Jane, you won't be aware because you were talking so elegantly to us with the gorgeous vision of Edinburgh behind. But somebody came past doing a rather rude gesture. So, if you're watching at home and you saw, that is no reflection on Jane or indeed Edinburgh.'
