Good Morning Britain Star Andi Peters Forgets Co-Star Adil Ray's Name Live On Air
GMB Star Andi Peters Forgets Co-Star Adil Ray's Name Live

Andi Peters, the ITV favourite known for presenting the competition segment on Good Morning Britain, suffered an awkward blunder on Thursday's show when he forgot the name of his co-star Adil Ray live on air. Reporting from the Tower of London, Peters shared fascinating facts about the historic landmark, including the tradition requiring at least six ravens to remain at the site under a royal decree.

Awkward Moment Unfolds

After finishing his report, Peters turned his attention back to the studio to hand over to the presenters. He greeted Ranvir Singh without hesitation, but then suddenly appeared to forget the name of her fellow host. Following a brief pause, he remembered it was Adil Ray, who has recently returned to the Good Morning Britain desk, before continuing the live broadcast. The light-hearted blunder quickly added an unexpected moment of humour to the show, with the presenters taking the mix-up in good spirits.

What Was Said

Rounding up his segment, Peters said: "OK I’m off to St Paul’s Cathedral now. Ranvir and … who is on the show today?" Looking at his team for assistance, Peters looked evidently confused. Ranvir helpfully interjected: "Adil," before Adil shouted in disbelief: "What?" Peters replied: "Sorry Adil, the thing is I didn’t sleep last night. I just didn’t sleep. And I can feel fog in my head today. What I was saying is …" Adil joked: "It’s absolutely fine, John."

Changing Line-Up

It is perhaps no surprise Peters momentarily lost track of the presenting line-up, as the Good Morning Britain hosting team has looked a little different throughout the week. Ranvir Singh was joined by Ed Balls on Wednesday's programme, while Kate Garraway teamed up with Ed to present Monday and Tuesday's editions. Meanwhile, Adil Ray has remained a familiar face on the ITV breakfast show, regularly stepping in as a guest presenter over the past few years.

Fan Reactions

Earlier that day, Adil uploaded a selfie with Ranvir taken in the GMB studio, writing in the caption: "Good Morning Britain? Who’s with us? What a morning @ranvirtv @gmb." Commenting on the post, one fan wrote "Lovely to see you back." Another said: "Fantastic to see u back on @gmb Adil very smart and professional," as a third penned: "Looking smooth m’man." Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
