Rounding up his segment, Peters said: "OK I’m off to St Paul’s Cathedral now. Ranvir and … who is on the show today?" Looking at his team for assistance, Peters looked evidently confused. Ranvir helpfully interjected: "Adil," before Adil shouted in disbelief: "What?" Peters replied: "Sorry Adil, the thing is I didn’t sleep last night. I just didn’t sleep. And I can feel fog in my head today. What I was saying is …" Adil joked: "It’s absolutely fine, John."

It is perhaps no surprise Peters momentarily lost track of the presenting line-up, as the Good Morning Britain hosting team has looked a little different throughout the week. Ranvir Singh was joined by Ed Balls on Wednesday's programme, while Kate Garraway teamed up with Ed to present Monday and Tuesday's editions. Meanwhile, Adil Ray has remained a familiar face on the ITV breakfast show, regularly stepping in as a guest presenter over the past few years.
