Tributes from co-stars
ITV's Rishi said: "Tributes have been pouring in for actor Tom Skerritt, who has died at the age of 93. He did star in Steel Magnolias, and Julia Roberts, his co-star, is one of those to pay tribute."
"They starred in the 1989 movie Steel Magnolias together, and she called him a 'shining light of a gentleman' on a post online. He features in other iconic films like Top Gun and Alien, and appeared on TV shows such as Brothers and Sisters and Cheers."
He continued: "His family, which includes five children, said he has left behind a legacy that reaches far beyond the screen through his work with mental health, veterans and river conservation charities. He'll, of course, be sorely missed."

Lauren continued: "He cared deeply for his family, both the one at home and the one at work. He cared deeply for his planet and all of its inhabitants. He had a huge impact on my life, and so many memories I have of him include sharing fits of crippling laughter. Rest easy, my friend. I will think of you often."
Fellow actor Justin Shenkarow also paid tribute, saying: "Rest easy, Tom. You were loved by so many, and I will miss you tremendously. I'm incredibly grateful that I had the privilege of working with you on Picket Fences. You're a legend."
