Good Morning Britain presenters Richard Madeley, Kate Garraway and Rishi Davda have paid tribute to comedian and wildlife presenter Bill Oddie, who has died at the age of 85.

During the entertainment segment, correspondent Rishi Davda said: "It's very sad news, he was a trailblazer in British comedy before inspiring millions to connect with the natural world."
He continued: "He found fame in the 70s as a member of comedy trio The Goodies before becoming one of Britain's most well-known broadcasters."
Davda also noted: "It's clear to see that his impact extended far beyond the laughs that people got."

Richard Madeley, echoing Chris Packham's tribute, said: "He was spiky! When you knew you were interviewing Bill Oddie you had to put your boxing gloves on."
Kate Garraway added: "You couldn't say the wrong thing to him."

In a statement, agent David Foster said: "It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of Bill Oddie, the country's best-loved birder. Bill was a multi-talented celebrity – wildlife presenter, broadcaster, comedian, writer, songwriter, musician and conservationist. Yet it was never fame that he valued. Instead he encouraged us to respect and protect the environment."
