Cassie Settles Lawsuit Against Sean 'Diddy' Combs Over Rape and Abuse Allegations

R&B singer Cassie Ventura has settled a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, just one day after she filed it accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and a decade of abuse.

In a joint statement, the pair said they had reached an amicable agreement without disclosing details. Ventura expressed gratitude for support, while Combs wrote: "I wish Cassie and her family all the best."

The lawsuit alleged that Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, subjected Ventura to a cycle of violence and addiction starting when she was 19. Combs denied the claims and accused her of extortion, but his lawyer noted the settlement was not an admission of wrongdoing.

Ventura's lawyer Douglas Wigdor praised her courage in coming forward. The settlement follows an alleged demand by Ventura for £24 million, which Combs' team called blackmail, and a counter-claim that Combs offered an eight-figure sum to silence her.
