Married At First Sight UK star Jess Potter has announced her engagement to gas engineer TJ O'Reilly, just days after revealing she had suffered a miscarriage. The 31-year-old shared the news on Instagram, posting a photo from Barcelona where O'Reilly proposed in front of La Sagrada Familia.
Potter wrote: "So this just happened. The most perfect moment... I love you." The post garnered congratulations from fellow MAFS stars and fans, including Whitney Hughes who commented "Congratulations girly."
The happy news comes after a difficult period for the couple. Last Thursday, Potter disclosed that she had experienced a miscarriage after becoming pregnant through IVF. She had announced her pregnancy earlier that week, but later shared a video explaining she had started bleeding and passing clots.
In the emotional video, Potter said: "I'm having a miscarriage which is f****** s***. I'm sitting outside work, just trying to put on a brave face because I've got to speak to patients all day." She added that she would have to wait a few months before attempting another round of IVF.
