Gethin Jones has been spotted enjoying a ski trip with Sky Sports presenter Pien Meulensteen, following Helen Skelton's confirmation that they are just friends. The 48-year-old BBC Morning Live host shared Instagram snaps from the French Alps, showing him linking arms with the 29-year-old Dutch reporter as he celebrated his birthday.
The sighting comes after Helen Skelton, 41, told the Mirror that rumours of a romance with Gethin are unfounded. 'We just work together, we are not together. No, no, no. We are just work friends,' she said, distancing herself from speculation that had grown after they were pictured together at the Pride of Britain Awards last year.
Gethin also appeared to confirm his single status during a recent episode of Morning Live. When author Sophie Gravia discussed being single, Gethin interjected with 'join the club', seemingly putting to rest any hopes of a romance with his co-presenter.
The pair have been friends and colleagues for years, having worked together on Comic Relief's Wheely Big Challenge. Gethin previously said of their partnership: 'What's different this time is that we have each other. We're best friends. We're very honest with one another.'
