Gemma Collins has disclosed that her holidays routinely cost a fortune, with a single week on the Greek island of Mykonos setting her back £100,000. The former TOWIE star admitted that a trip to Mykonos requires 'big pockets', covering meals, activities and accommodation for seven days.
Collins, 43, splashed out £21,000 for a seven-night stay at the Cavo Tagoo hotel in 2022. She confessed that a 'good hotel is everything' and revealed she once considered living permanently in hotels rather than buying a house, having resided at the Dorchester and the Corinthia before the pandemic and spending much time at the Savoy.
The reality star also shared her travel preferences, saying she only likes flying from Heathrow Terminal 5 as it is 'super relaxing' and 'a bit bouji'. Her penchant for luxury extends to souvenirs; she admitted to being 'a crazy girl when it comes to souvenirs' and brought back 25 boxes from a trip to Sicily.
Earlier this year, Collins enjoyed a romantic getaway to the Maldives, where her partner Rami Hawash proposed during a candlelit dinner on the beach. She recalled the moment, saying she had no idea it was being filmed and was 'blown away' by the surprise.
Growing up, Collins holidayed with her mother on coach trips to Yorkshire. Her first holiday abroad was to the south of France, and she has since visited Tenerife, the Maldives and Sicily, often as all-expenses-paid trips through television work.
