Gemma Collins is reportedly close to signing a deal to return to the Australian jungle for a new all-star series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, more than a decade after her infamous three-day stay. The 43-year-old reality star, who quit the show in 2014, is said to be weighing up an offer described as “too good to turn down”.
According to a source, ITV bosses are eager to have Collins back, believing her dramatic presence and “fabulous diva moments” will make unmissable viewing. The potential fee is rumoured to be £150,000, a significant increase from the £40,000 she received for her original appearance. Collins has recently lost two stone and is said to be feeling more confident than ever, eager to show off her new figure on screen.
PR expert Lynn Carratt suggested the move could revive Collins’s career, noting she has been relatively absent from television since 2022. Carratt said the jungle is a “risk” but could “propel her back into the spotlight in a big way” if she proves herself. Collins, known for her time on The Only Way Is Essex, Dancing on Ice, and her own reality show, has a lot to prove after her short-lived 2014 appearance.
Collins previously revealed she was robbed and physically attacked just 24 hours before entering the jungle, which she said contributed to her early exit. Despite the challenges, she insists she “would never let anyone destroy my dreams again.” The new series, I’m a Celebrity: All Stars, is set to film this autumn and air next year.
