BBC Radio 1 presenter Gemma Cairney has given birth to her second baby. The 41-year-old radio host and her partner, Cameron McAllister, welcomed their second child this week, as she announced on social media on Sunday night.

Gemma shared the news on Instagram, writing: "Had another baby this week with the most beautiful goober of a man that I ever was to meet after travelling the world to find him. LOVE YOU @cameronmac815 & this miracle family. *Posted from a sofa of in the haze of restful ecstasy and a multitude of painkillers*"
The couple already have a 23-month-old child together. Following the announcement, friends and fans offered congratulations, including former Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon, who wrote: "Congratulations you beauties xx". One follower commented: "Massive congrats guys! So happy for your gorgeous wee fam," while another added: "Hooray! Congratulations to you both! Xxxxx"
Previous Pregnancy and First Birth
Earlier this year, Gemma quietly revealed her pregnancy with a photo showing her baby bump on Instagram, captioned: "together we sunbathe ‘n dream". The birth announcement mirrors the style of her first child's arrival in August 2024. At that time, she posted a photo of Cameron with their newborn, writing: "TWO WEEKS of the best madness, blessings, bliss, breathes, prayers, tears & momentous delirium. I can’t offer enough thanks to our friends/kin, midwives, soothsayers, staunch support!"
Gemma, also known for hosting the BBC's TV coverage of Glastonbury Festival, added: "Never ever felt love like this. We are a fresh fam of 3, yipeeeeeeeee."
Career and Personal Life
The radio star met her husband, founder of a specialist coffee subscription service, while on holiday in Malawi almost a decade ago. She began her career on Channel 4's radio service in 2007 and gained TV exposure as co-presenter of Big Brother's Big Ears for Big Brother 2008 alongside Iain Lee. Gemma has since appeared on celebrity editions of shows like The Weakest Link and Richard Osman's House of Games, and fronted documentaries such as Riots: The Aftershock and Dying For Clear Skin.
