Emma McVey, the ex-wife of Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle, has opened up about celebrating her 'first Christmas as a three' with their two children following their separation. The couple, who were together for eight years and married for two, split in October.
In an Instagram post, McVey shared a montage of clips showing her and her children—son Chester, six, and daughter Primrose, four—building and decorating gingerbread houses while wearing matching festive pyjamas. She wrote: 'It’s our first Christmas Eve as a 3 and I’ve done everything I can to make sure it’s magical, wholesome and full of love. We’ve spent the day doing their favourite things; dancing, baking and spending quality time together.'
The post received an outpouring of support from fans, with comments praising her as a 'great mammy' and a 'strong woman'. One follower wrote: 'It’s not easy to do. You should be proud.' Another added: 'And they’ll remember it forever!!! Well done Mama! Stay strong.'
The split was confirmed by Beadle in a Q&A session on Instagram in October. When asked if he and McVey were still together, he replied: 'Hey no we actually separated about 3 weeks ago we are still friends there is no bad blood or anything and we have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids which for me and Emma is always gunna be the most important thing.' He added: 'We both deserve to be happy as well as being parents.'
