Gabby Logan's daughter 'horrified' by book confession

BBC Sport presenter Gabby Logan has said her daughter was horrified when she discovered a personal admission in her autobiography. The 53-year-old, who has 21-year-old fraternal twins Lois and Reuben with her husband, former professional rugby player Kenny Logan, 54, shared the revelation in a recent interview.

Daughter's reaction to university confession

Speaking to the Times, Gabby said her daughter was not pleased to learn that she had cheated on her boyfriend while at university. She explained: “My daughter was very upset with me when she read in my book that I cheated on my boyfriend at university. She was horrified.”

Despite the reaction, Gabby believed it was important for Lois to know this detail, as it gave her a better understanding of her mother. She added: “A lot has not gone the way I would have wanted it to in my life, and it was good for her to understand that.”

Other family revelations

This is not the first time Gabby has said her children were stunned by personal details about their parents. In another interview with the Times, she revealed that her children sent a two-word message after she and Kenny, who married in 2001 after meeting in 1998, discussed their sex life on the Midpoint podcast they co-host.

She told the publication: "When Kenny and I did a Midpoint podcast episode about his prostate cancer, my kids found it toe-curling because we talked about our sex life. I'd get messages on our family WhatsApp, like, 'Enough now'."

Proposed move to France

Gabby also said her family was shocked when she briefly suggested they spend a year in France. Appearing on the Second Act with Ateh Jewel podcast, she said: “I remember coming down for breakfast once when the kids were about 10 and I said, 'Guys, I've had this really crazy idea but I think it could be really good. Let's go live in France for a year.

“[I told them] 'the kids can learn French and I'll commute to work.' And honestly, you'd have thought that I had suggested we all join a commune in Ukraine or something.”

The family did not end up moving to France and continued to reside in the UK.
