Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and rapper French Montana have announced their engagement, with the Dubai princess unveiling a dazzling ring. The couple shared a photo of the ring on Friday, showing French Montana cradling her hand as the emerald-cut diamond took centre stage.
The ring, created by fine jeweller Mavani, is an 11.53-carat emerald-cut GIA certified diamond. The jeweller confirmed it was a seven-figure piece, with reports suggesting a value of $1.1 million. French Montana commissioned the custom ring for the proposal, which took place in June 2024, according to his publicist.
Princess Sheikha Mahra, daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, divorced her ex-husband Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed in June 2024. She announced the split on Instagram, writing: 'Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce.' She later removed all photos of her ex-husband from her social media.
Earlier this month, the princess released a fragrance named 'Divorce', described on her website as 'a luxurious fragrance collection... creating an unforgettable sensory experience.' The engagement marks a fresh start for the princess, who is also a mother to a baby daughter.
